Love 'emJul 25, 2010 I love these boots. they're so cute & i get alot of compliments on them. they ran true to size for me. I plan to purchase a pair of the fleece socks to use during the winter. Thanks Chooka!
great bootsMar 26, 2010 Nice boots - had a small flaw & when I contacted the company they reduced the price so that I could keep them & be satisfied.
Just great!Jan 12, 2010 I live in Alabama. When it rains here, it pours. There are giant puddles everywhere and tall sticky grass. I was sick of the ends of my pants being wet and cold when I got home or walking around a store with soaking wet shoes, completely uncomfortable. I bought these but I really felt that I'd settled on the design because they looked, to me, a little tacky. When they got here, I loved them! They're a nice turquoise and the prints blend well. I'm a size 8 and ordered a size 8 and they fit perfectly, with or without socks. My feet are totally dry when I take them off. I took a long 30 minute walk with my two year old and we even had to walk down a very steep grassy hill. Every time I try to mosey down a big, wet, STEEP, grassy hill, I always wipe out, even in tennis shoes. These boots held on! I didn't even stumble! They're very snug, so I never feel I run the the risk of stepping right out of them but they never feel too constricting, either. Very comfortable. They're what I would describe as "high quality" because of the feel of the rubber and the performance so if you're worried about paying more for a cheap boot - don't. I noticed someone complained about the sole coming out. They must be talking about the liner in the boot that your foot sits on. Yes, that comes out. The soles come out of almost every tennis shoe and boot I've ever worn. You should push it back in and it's secure. The only time my soles dislodge is when I'm taking the boot off. It's really not a big deal at all and certainly not worth disregarding this boot. I've never had any leakage, tears, or unusual wear. Not so far, anyhow. Everyone loves these boots! Everyone wants to try them on. I highly recommend them or maybe a Chooka boot in another design. (This is my first pair but I doubt there's quality differences from design to design..)
looks great, fits wrongDec 17, 2008 No doubt, these look great and recieve lots of compliments. But Chooka's sizing is very inconsistant. Someone reviewed that they ran big, so I bought a 1/2 size down for me and my mom. (I ordered the tatoo city for me, my mom got the little apples design). Both of us felt like our feet were being squashed. So I ordered the next size up, getting us both size 8. Well, the little apples size 8 fits us both perfectly, but my size 8 tatoo city boots still feel way too tight. I guess if you have very narrow feet they would feel fine but I'm cursed with fat little feet, so...Its just annoying that two boots ordered in the same size from the same company would fit so differently. Guess I'll have to exchange my tattoo city for the little apples, which are totally darling, but its a shame. Please fix your sizing Chooka!
great traction in mud!Nov 11, 2008 So far these boots have been wonderful. Everybody loves them including myself. They are very functional in wet mud and my feet haven't gotten wet yet. Comfortable enough to wear all day-- I pair these boots with high socks and a skirt for a really fun look. Their only downfall is a narrow toe-- I have a wide ball of my foot and my pinky toe joint sits tight but comfortably in these boots. I suspect this is a personal issue as the basic design of rain boots doesn't vary that much. All in all so much cooler than plain rubber boots!
