I had never owned a pair of rainboots, or galoshes as they were called when I was growing up, in my life. My parents were of the generation that didn't want to be like their own strict, controlling parents who were of the Depression Era. My friends and I weren't forced to wear such cumbersome things as camisoles and galoshes and raincoats. But now that I'm a grown-up (well, as close as I'll ever be to one), I noticed that the college-age set was wearing not just rainboots, but really cool-looking ones! I went on-line to search for some that were as colorful and fun as the ones I had seen the after-school care counselors wear, and I "out-cooled" them by far when I bought these Hello Kitty punk rainboots. I get so excited when it rains or snows and I have an excuse to wear them! They're comfortable enough to wear all day long as I teach fourth graders, and they don't make my feet sweat, either. I'm ready for a new pair, but I'll be hard-pressed to find a pair that I love as much as I love these Chookas!

I had these on my wish list and I received them for Christmas. (I just love Hello Kitty!) I requested the next size up from my normal shoe size and they fit perfectly. Living in Southwest Washington, rain boots are a necessity! The first week went well, they were able to withstand all of the water torture I put them through - ankle deep puddles and muck (we live on a farm). After that first week though, it has become a little more difficult to put them on because the inside foot liner no longer sticks to the bottom. I constanly have to readjust the liner just to put my foot in. For some reason, it slides while I am walking and will reach my ankle if I don't stop to fix it. I'll probably just put some shoe goo on them but I shouldn't be expected to have to do this. Definitely cute though!

The boots were too big & the rubber a bit thin & soft, I imagin they would not really be comfortable to wear any distance because they were too floppy! I returned them.

I purchased these boots, because my 16 year is crazy for Hello Kitty. They arrived on time and just how the description said they look. And the price that I paid was well worth in through Amazon.

After limited wear, the sole began to separate from the boot upper allowing water to seep in. When I contacted Chooka directly, they informed me their products were only guaranteed for 90 days if purchased directly from their company and they were not responsible if purchased elsewhere. So, no more Chookas. Too bad, they were really cute.
